Machine Setup

  • Do NOT attempt to lift your machine onto a stand by yourself. Get help. - (VERY HEAVY!!)
  • The stand that you use must be capable of holding at least 300lbs.
  • Do not pick up the machine by lifting up on the coin tray - It will bend.
  • Remove the coin tray and coin hopper to gain access to the hole at the back of the machine so you can properly route the power cord.
  • Do not let machine rest on top of the power cord.
  • Do not remove the coin we have purposely left in the coin comparator—It must remain there as a sample coin.
  • Do not dump your piggy bank or unsorted coins into the coin hopper. All coins in the hopper must be of the same denomination as your machines coin comparator.
  • Initially when the machine is powered on it will initialize a self test, the reels will spin and the bill acceptor will cycle and make a weird noise.  The machine may also do this anytime a door is opened and closed.
  • Try to keep the hopper full of coins at all times. If you cash the machine out and run out of coins before you run the credit counter down you will get an empty Hopper error condition and you will not be able to play again until you have cleared the error. (by adding quarters to the hopper and closing the door again)
  • If machine doesn't seem to work at all you will likely need to reseat the MPU or processor board(s), or reseat the AC power plug. - (For IGT machines it is located behind the coin hopper for S+ machines or just to the left side of the hopper for IGT S2000 models) Other makes amd models will be similar.
  • You will find that the coin change/service lamp or (candle) on top of the machine will flash anytime a door is opened OR if  the machine is in a tilt due to a condition or error code that needs your attention. The candle will only stop flashing if all the machine doors have been fully closed and all error codes or tilt conditions have been properly cleared.  Additionally, 1 game cycle must complete without any errors or conditions.
  • On the right side of the machine, near the handle there is a small key inserted into a "switch lock". You will not need to use this key UNLESS a large jackpot is won and the machine is in a "lockup" condition. Otherwise, DON'T PLAY with the key. (Play with the machine!)
  • A common problem can occur when the Bill Vallidator cash box is not reinserted/re-seated or the box is installed but mis-aligned. This will cause your Bill Vallidator NOT to accept any bills and it might stop functioning. Be sure your bill acceptor cash box is inserted correct and square and be certain to push it all the way in. It should lock in place.
  • Most machine tilt codes that you will run into are reset and cleared by opening and closing the machine door. There is an explanation of common error codes on the inside of the machine door for you to refer to if you need to.
